Purpose-Led · Nonprofit · Social Impact · Conservation · Animal Welfare · Community
This is the work we built APC to do.
We work with nonprofits, charities, conservation organisations, animal welfare organisations, and purpose-led businesses that need senior strategic support, and a partner who genuinely understands why the mission matters.
Nonprofits and purpose-led organisations operate in one of the most demanding environments in any sector: accountable to donors, boards, beneficiaries, and the public, often simultaneously, usually with limited resources, and always with high stakes. Generic strategy does not work here. Neither does a consultant who treats the mission as a constraint rather than the point.
APC brings senior marketing and strategic thinking to organisations that are doing genuinely important work. The approach is the same as with any commercial client, rigorous, practical, and built around your specific situation, but the understanding of your world runs deeper.
Our founder sits on the board of Milton Animal League, an animal shelter in Milton, MA, and adopted through the organisation herself. This is not theoretical. It is personal.
Senior support across every area that moves organisations forward.
01 · Fundraising Strategy & Development - Building sustainable income streams, donor acquisition and retention strategies, and fundraising campaigns that connect with the right people in the right way.
02 · Marketing & Brand Strategy - Positioning, messaging, and campaign development for nonprofits that need to stand out, build trust, and communicate impact clearly, to donors, partners, and the public.
03 · Project Management & Strategic Delivery - Senior oversight for complex projects, campaigns, and organisational change. Strategy is only as good as its execution, we stay involved until the work is done.
04 · Corporate Sponsorship & Partnership Outreach - Identifying, approaching, and securing corporate sponsors and strategic partners. Built on real commercial experience of what businesses actually look for in nonprofit partnerships.
05 · LinkedIn & Digital Strategy - Building organisational presence and founder personal brand on LinkedIn, the most powerful platform for reaching corporate donors, board prospects, and high-value supporters.
06 · Interim & Fractional Strategic Support - Senior strategic capacity on a retained or project basis, for organisations that need experienced leadership without the cost of a full-time hire.
"The organisations we work with are not charities looking for a handout of strategic advice. They are serious, ambitious, and doing genuinely important work. They deserve the same quality of thinking as any major commercial client, and that is exactly what we bring."
Kimberley Reynolds, Founder, Apple Pie & Custard LLC
Serious strategy. Fair terms.
Nonprofit budgets are not unlimited, and we have never pretended otherwise. What we reject is the idea that limited budget means limited quality. Pro bono or nothing is a false choice that consistently underserves the sector.
What we offer is fair, transparent pricing for genuinely senior work: the kind of strategic input that used to require a full agency retainer or an expensive hire. We work on project, retainer, and consultancy bases, and we are always happy to have a direct conversation about what is workable.
Who this is for?
We work with organisations at a range of stages, from small community groups building their first development programme, to established nonprofits that have outgrown their current marketing and need to level up. What they share is not a budget bracket or a sector category. It is a genuine mission, a leadership team that takes the work seriously, and the understanding that strategic investment creates strategic return.
Common Questions
No. We work with any organisation that has a social compass, nonprofits, charities, B Corps, purpose-led businesses, and commercial founders with a genuine social conscience. The legal structure matters less than the intention.
Do you only work with nonprofits?
1
Occasionally and selectively, for organisations whose work we are particularly invested in, and where we believe we can make a material difference. We do not advertise pro bono capacity, but we are always open to a conversation.
Do you offer pro bono work?
2
Yes, and with particular depth. Our founder sits on the board of Milton Animal League, an animal shelter in Milton, MA, and adopted through the organisation herself. We understand the specific fundraising, community relations, and operational challenges that animal welfare organisations face, and we bring that lived experience to every engagement in this space.
Do you work with animal welfare organisations specifically?

What does having a social compass mean in practice?
4
It means your organisation exists for a reason beyond revenue. It does not require nonprofit status or a formal impact framework. It means the people running it are building something they genuinely believe in, and that they want a strategic partner who believes in it too. If that sounds like you, you are in the right place.
If this sounds like your organisation, let's talk.
